I love your illustrations! I haven't seen many skilled illustrators who don't sign their work and put it up for all to see. Thanks for sharing your talent!
How much time do you tend to spend on one finished piece? What's your process? Do you work with models sometimes?
Again, you have wonderful imagination and skill Teresa!
Thank you so very much! Honestly, I very rarely sign my work. I usually do when I feel the piece is completely finished, which is not very often (a lot of times I forget too). My feelings about my art is that I’m not working towards the finished piece but enjoying the process and trying to express a thought and then letting it go.
I spend about 3-5 hours on a total piece from start to finish. But majority of the works I’ve posted are simple sketches that take about 20-30 minutes to do. With them it’s just a simple thought or an idea I try to jot down before it passes. Sort of, artistic journal keeping. Sometimes it’s a picture that inspires a drawing with others it’s a thought or feeling.
I honestly WISH I could work with models. Most of the drawings are from my head or from a reference photo. Which leaves me incredibly limited with proper anatomy references and poor quality images that leaves my eyeballs straining.
Thanks for taking the time to ask me about my work! I love answering questions about my process and the artwork itself.
