The Promethean Fire piece is a finished drawing, yes. I WAS thinking of painting it, but I think I’d like to approach my painting differently with a new piece. I’m hoping to do that actually with my next piece.
Currently I live in Minneapolis (but apparently all the happening art scene stuff is in either California or New York). I’m originally from a small town in Wisconsin but I had to make the move for more opportunities.
Paper art, if done well, can be sold well. A lot of people do prefer paintings but if you look up Laurie Lipton’s work, you’d see there are graphite artists out there who do well.
Promethean Fire will be (hopefully) sold at one point. I’m not even sure about a price as of yet since I want to do all the framing first. My goal for now is to find/acquire/somehow tangibly manifest a camera so I can make prints of my work.
