Wing study: Pen/ink, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, 8”x 10” I have an idea in mind for a larger piece but before I can do it, I did a number of studies so I know what sort of mediums I want to implement with it. I’m also brushing up on my wing anatomy while I’m at it. So far, the ink lends too much to an “illustrative” quality than what I’d prefer it to be. Though, this one reminds me a bit of Albrecht Durer’s “wing of a roller” study.
