I have Polymodal Synesthesia and this is my self portrait. Many people don’t understand the disorder and just write me off as a weird freak. They don’t understand my unusual analogies, the way I use similes, why I see blobs of color or why things seem personified to me. I’ve started drawing/painting what I see in order to help myself become more comfortable with being abnormal.
