I’ve been sketching out ideas lately and trying on this new drafting paper with different designs.
Got some palomino blackwing pencils over the weekend and I’m already in love. Between those and the Tombows I ordered online I think I’m back to drawing for a while.
Sketching ogres tonight. :D
Another sketch. I like adding a glaze of color to them to enhance mood.
Started out the day with some scribbling. ;)

Working with some hand mixed paint from pigments. This is another direct painting with no pencil sketching first.
A chalk drawing made from my own pigments I had here. This evening has been quite productive to say this least. Yay Saturdays! :)

A sketch of my Grandmother. They’re aging and I think it’s affecting me more than I’m willing to admit. So, I’m a bit reminiscent. There’s a tube of chap sitck in the background that some how managed to roll it’s way into the photo. Let’s just call this a size comparison. :D
Some more of that direct painted sketching with no penciling in. A whole week without putting strain on my eyes (till I get glasses) is hard. I had no idea how difficult it would be to not do the detail work.
