A quick watercolor/pencil sketch from this morning.
My husband says I need to put up my sketches. Usually I just do these and stick them on the shelf and forget about it.
Started out the day with some scribbling. ;)
Working out different “three color palettes” which range from dull to high key. Really interesting to see the variety of colors you can achieve.
Brushing up on my portrait work with a couple of sketches.
Finished this tonight which is a first for me lately. Being only 6” x 8” helps.
A WIP from today.
A little 5” x 7” piece I did this afternoon. Pen and ink with watercolor.
Was able to fit in some time for painting today. A little 5” x 7” piece. Watercolor, pen and ink, colored pencil.
“Alice in Wonderland” WIP: The main part of the poster/book cover is painted. A few more details needed to make this a finished piece. I actually enjoyed working with a limited color palette on this. I used it as an excuse to see what my main “go to” colors are. It’s a great way to work with mixing colors in order to achieve a full spectrum.
